 Hawaii
is home to the only coffee grown commercially in the United
States. Today, Hawaiian coffee is
famous the world over.
The island of Molokai is in the heart of Hawai'i, anchored
between the islands of Oahu and Maui. Located about 100 miles
northwest of another famous coffee growing region, the Kona
coast on the big island of Hawai'i.The
beautiful plantation rests in the cool foothills below 5,000'
Kamakou peak. Here 600 acres of former pineapple land have
become home to Hawaii's finest new crop - 100% Moloka'i
gourmet coffee.
Situated at about
800' above sea level near the village of Kualapu'u, the
plantation enjoys a microclimate that is perfect for coffee
production.
In addition to abundant sunshine and moderate tropical
weather, two major factors influence this microclimate: One, the volcanic soil is an intense red, well
drained and mineral rich.
Two, the plantation borders a large reservoir which
serves to moderate the temperature and humidity and
provides water for drip irrigation and fertigation. Our
careful combination of
traditional farming and processing methods with efficient
technology produces coffee that is unique in the coffee world.

The Original Moloka'i MuleSkinner Coffee is a Natural
Dry, sun dried Arabica coffee. In the Natural Dry
process, the husk remains on the bean while it sun
dries
 and are removed during milling.
A rich, dark roast and our Natural Dry process give it
a bolder, huskier flavor. A robust coffee with mild
acidity and a full bodied finish.
We dedicate this coffee to the rugged muleskinners of
Moloka'i. For generations they have led their trusted
mules, carrying mail and supplies, down the 2,000 foot
seacliffs to the Kalaupapa peninsula below - and back
up again.
A hearty coffee for the true coffee lover.

Malulani Estate Coffee is a washed and
completely sun dried Arabica bean. There are faster,
less expensive ways to process coffee beans, but we
are convinced that these traditional methods result in
a superior cup of coffee.
In the Hawaiian language, the name means "heavenly
aroma" and refers to the coffee's unique aromatic
characteristics.
It is a rich bodied, medium roast coffee with mild
acidity. The excellent body is complemented by a
luscious hint of chocolate at the finish.
This could be the perfect dessert coffee.
Pure Moloka'i flavor at it's best.
